These Terms and Conditions govern the supply and installation of water filtration systems and related services by Filters For You.
By booking a service, requesting a quote, or engaging Filters For You, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Filters For You provides supply and installation of undersink water filtration systems, reverse osmosis systems, whole house filtration systems, servicing and cartridge replacements within a 25 kilometre radius of Sydney.
All services are subject to site suitability and system compatibility.
2. Fixed Price Packages
Our fixed price packages apply to standard installations only.
A standard installation generally includes:
• Installation under a standard kitchen sink
• Connection to existing cold water supply
• Installation of a dedicated filter tap
• Standard cabinetry access
• Standard waste connection where applicable
Additional costs may apply if:
• Cabinetry modification is required
• Additional plumbing is needed
• Electrical work is required
• Access is restricted
• Non standard fittings are required
• Existing plumbing is non compliant or requires rectification
Where additional works are required, this will be discussed and approved prior to proceeding.
3. Suitability and Site Conditions
Customers are responsible for ensuring:
• Adequate space under the sink
• Structural integrity of cabinetry
• Accessibility to plumbing
• Power outlet availability where required for systems such as chillers or pumps
If installation cannot proceed due to unsuitable conditions not disclosed prior to booking, a call out fee may apply.
4. Call Out Fees
Inspection and quotation visits incur a $280 call out fee.
This fee may be waived if the final quoted installation is accepted and proceeds.
If installation is booked and cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time, Filters For You reserves the right to charge a call out or cancellation fee.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is required in full prior to or on completion of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept payment via approved payment methods listed on our website.
Failure to make payment may result in recovery action.
6. Warranty
Manufacturer warranties apply to filtration systems and components.
Installation workmanship is warranted for 12 months from the date of installation.
This warranty does not cover:
• Misuse or tampering
• Failure to replace cartridges as recommended
• Damage caused by external factors
• Pre existing plumbing faults
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to info@filtersforyou.com.au.
7. Maintenance and Servicing
Customers are responsible for ongoing filter cartridge replacement in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
Failure to maintain filters may:
• Reduce system performance
• Void manufacturer warranty
• Impact water quality
Filters For You may offer service reminders but accepts no liability if servicing is not completed.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
• Filters For You is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss
• Liability is limited to the cost of the supplied product or service
• We are not responsible for water quality changes caused by external supply issues
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
10. Access and Safety
Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the installation area.
Filters For You reserves the right to refuse or cease work if conditions are unsafe.
11. Website Use
Information on our website is general in nature and subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right to update pricing, products and service details at any time.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
