Product Information

What’s included in the Pure Plus+ filtration system

The Pure Plus+ system uses a 5 stage alkaline reverse osmosis filtration process designed to deliver consistent water quality, improved taste, and long term reliability.

The system combines sediment and carbon pre filtration, high efficiency reverse osmosis, and post filtration remineralisation to produce clean, refreshing drinking water for everyday household use.

Stage 1 – Sediment Filtration (5 micron)

The first stage uses a 5 micron polyspun sediment cartridge to capture physical particles such as sand, dirt, rust, silt, and other fine debris commonly found in mains water.

This stage helps protect downstream filters and the reverse osmosis membrane, supporting consistent flow and system performance.

Stage 2 – Coconut Carbon Block Filtration (5 micron)

The second stage is a high grade activated coconut carbon block filter.

This stage helps reduce chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odours, and organic compounds, while protecting the reverse osmosis membrane from chemical damage.

Regular replacement of this filter is essential to maintaining system efficiency and extending membrane life.

Stage 3 – Reverse Osmosis Membrane (0.0001 micron)

The reverse osmosis membrane is the core purification stage of the system.

Tested in accordance with NSF/ANSI 58 performance criteria, this high-efficiency membrane is designed to significantly reduce total dissolved solids and a broad range of dissolved contaminants under laboratory test conditions.

The membrane can produce up to approximately 190 litres of purified water per day, depending on feed water quality and operating conditions.

Stage 4 –  Xtreme Alkaline Magnesium Remineralisation

This stage uses magnesium mineral media to restore a balanced mineral profile after reverse osmosis filtration.

The cartridge raises the pH of the water into the alkaline range (9.5) when new, gradually tapering over its service life (8.0), while imparting a clean, lightly mineralised taste.

Stage 5 – Xtreme 100% Granular Activated Coconut Carbon Polishing Filtration

The final stage uses granular activated coconut carbon to polish the water before dispensing.

This stage enhances taste and removes any remaining odours, delivering smooth, refreshing drinking water with a naturally clean finish.

Filter lifespan & maintenance

Regular filter maintenance is essential to protect system performance and extend component lifespan.

Pre Filters require more frequent replacment and are important to maintain in order to protect the RO membrane from sediment and chlorine damage.

• Sediment filter: replace every 6 months
• Coconut carbon block filter: replace every 6 months

• Reverse osmosis membrane: replace every 1 to 4 years, depending on water quality and usage

• Alkaline magnesium and carbon post-filters: replace every 12 months to maintain balanced pH and optimal taste

Cartridges are housed in standard filter housings and replaced during routine servicing.
Replacement filters are readily available and designed specifically for this system.

System performance & reliability

By reducing sediment, chlorine, and dissolved contaminants early in the filtration process, the Pure Plus+ system helps:

• Deliver consistently high-quality drinking water
• Protect and extend the life of the reverse osmosis membrane
• Improve taste, clarity, and odour
• Maintain efficient, reliable system performance over time

Reverse osmosis tanks & water flow

Reverse osmosis systems use a pressurised storage tank to store filtered water.

Water flow is strongest when the tank is full and gradually reduces as the tank empties. This is a normal characteristic of all pressurised RO systems and ensures consistent delivery throughout the day.

Suitable for multiple applications

The Pure Plus+ system is suitable for:

• Residential homes
• Apartments
• Offices
• Light commercial applications

Important usage notice!

This filtration system is designed to improve drinking water quality but does not disinfect water or remove microorganisms.

It must not be used with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without appropriate disinfection before or after the system.

WaterMark certification & compliant installation

The Pure Plus+ (FSA) reverse osmosis system is WaterMark certified to Australian Standard AS 3497:2021 under Certificate Number 23247.

WaterMark certification is the level of compliance legally required in Australia for a licensed plumber to install a water filtration system. This ensures the system meets Australian plumbing codes, safety requirements, and performance standards.

Filters For You installs WaterMark certified FSA filtration systems under licensed plumbers (LIC : 461511C), providing confidence that every installation is compliant, insurable, and suitable for Australian mains and town water supplies.

This system must be installed by a licensed plumber, in accordance with Australian plumbing regulations.
