Product Information

What’s included in the Pure Premium filtration system

Pure Premium is a 7 stage high alkaline magneisum and hydrogen-rich reverse osmosis system supplied by Filter Systems Australia.

It combines sediment and carbon pre-filtration to protect the RO membrane, a high-performance RO membrane tested to NSF/ANSI 58 criteria, then a premium post-treatment stack designed to refine taste, mineral balance, alkalinity, and hydrogen levels.

Actual pH and dissolved hydrogen levels will vary depending on incoming water quality, pressure, usage patterns, and installation conditions.

Stage 1 – Sediment Filtration (5 micron)

The first stage uses a 5 micron polyspun sediment cartridge to capture physical particles such as sand, dirt, rust, silt, and other fine debris commonly found in mains water.

This stage helps protect downstream filters and the reverse osmosis membrane, supporting consistent flow and system performance.

Stage 2 – Coconut Carbon Block Filtration (0.5 micron)

The second stage is a high-grade activated coconut carbon block filter that helps reduce chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odours, and organic compounds.

This stage is crucial for protecting the RO membrane from chemical degradation and maintaining consistent performance.

Regular replacement of this filter is essential to maintaining system efficiency and extending membrane life.

Stage 3 – Reverse Osmosis Membrane (0.0001 micron)

The reverse osmosis membrane is the core purification stage.

Tested in accordance with NSF/ANSI 58 performance criteria, this membrane is designed to remove up to 99% of dissolved contaminants, including PFAS (such as PFOA and PFOS), fluoride, lead, heavy metals, nitrates, sulfates, and other chemical pollutants, producing highly purified water.

The membrane can produce up to approximately 190 litres per day, depending on feed water quality and operating conditions.

Stage 4 – Hydrogen-Rich High Alkaline Mineral Filter (Magnesium + Potassium)

This is the signature stage of Pure Premium.

After reverse osmosis, this cartridge reintroduces selected minerals such as magnesium and potassium and is designed to produce high alkaline water, typically in the range of pH 8.5 to 10 depending on conditions.

This hydrogen enhancing stage also increases levels of dissolved molecular hydrogen in the treated water as part of the mineral interaction process.

This is what separates Pure Premium from standard alkaline RO systems that typically operate at lower pH levels.

Stage 5 – Far Infrared Ceramic Refinement

This stage uses far infrared (FIR) ceramic media as a post-treatment refinement step.

Far infrared rays ionise and activate water molecules, and therefore may help improving blood circulation and overall health, given that water makes up over 70% of the mass of the human body. When FIR energy vibrates at a frequency similar to that of the human body, it may assist in activating cells, and strengthening the micro-circulatory system.

This stage is about refinement, not filtration, and is included to enhance the overall quality and feel of the water after reverse osmosis.

Stage 6 – Activated Coconut Carbon Polishing

After mineralisation, hydrogen enhancement, and FIR refinement, the water passes through a 100% activated coconut carbon polishing filter.

This stage removes any remaining tastes or odours introduced during post-treatment and delivers a clean, smooth, naturally balanced finish before the water reaches your tap.

Stage 7 – Inline Magnetic Water Conditioning (Maintenance-Free)

The final stage is an inline magnetic water conditioning unit.

It applies a magnetic field to the water as it flows through, influencing mineral behaviour and helping reduce scale buildup at the dispensing tap over time. This stage does not change mineral content, uses no chemicals, and never needs replacing.

Filter lifespan & maintenance

Regular filter maintenance is essential to protect system performance and extend component lifespan.

Pre Filters require more frequent replacment and are important to maintain in order to protect the RO membrane from sediment and chlorine damage.
• Sediment filter: replace every 6 months
• Coconut carbon block filter: replace every 6 months

• Reverse osmosis membrane: replace every 1 to 4 years, depending on water quality and usage

• Hydrogen-rich high alkaline mineral filter: replace every 12 months

• Far infrared ceramic stage: replace every 2 years

• Coconut carbon polishing filter: replace every 12 months

• Inline magnetic conditioning stage: does not require replacement

Cartridges are housed in standard filter housings and replaced during routine servicing.

Replacement filters are readily available and designed specifically for this system.

System performance & reliability

By combining full reverse osmosis purification with advanced post-treatment refinement, the Pure Premium system is designed to:

• Deliver consistently high-quality, refined drinking water

• Protect and extend the life of the reverse osmosis membrane
• Provide maximum enhanced taste, smoothness, and overall drinking experience
• Support higher alkaline mineral levels after RO purification & hydrogen rich water

• Maintain efficient, reliable system performance over time

Actual performance will vary depending on incoming water quality, pressure, usage, and installation conditions.

Reverse osmosis tanks & water flow

Reverse osmosis systems use a pressurised storage tank to store filtered water.

Water flow is strongest when the tank is full and gradually reduces as the tank empties. This is a normal characteristic of all pressurised RO systems and ensures consistent delivery throughout the day.

Suitable for multiple applications

The Pure Plus+ system is suitable for:

• Residential homes
• Apartments
• Offices
• Light commercial applications

Important usage notice!

This filtration system is designed to improve drinking water quality but does not disinfect water or remove microorganisms.

It must not be used with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without appropriate disinfection before or after the system.

WaterMark certification & compliant installation

The Pure Premium (FSA) reverse osmosis system is WaterMark certified to Australian Standard AS 3497:2021 under Certificate Number 23247.

WaterMark certification is the level of compliance legally required in Australia for a licensed plumber to install a water filtration system. This ensures the system meets Australian plumbing codes, safety requirements, and performance standards.

Filters For You installs WaterMark certified FSA filtration systems under licensed plumbers (LIC : 461511C), providing confidence that every installation is compliant, insurable, and suitable for Australian mains and town water supplies.

This system must be installed by a licensed plumber, in accordance with Australian plumbing regulations.
